| The Provincial Grand Master Rt W Bro Keith Beardmore GMRAC was in attendance as a guest at the Royal Ark Mariner Provincial Assembly of N & E Yorks in Scarborough on 1st November, along with the Provincial Grand Master of Northumberland Rt W Bro Raymond Walton GMRAC and V W Bro Derek Walsh. | It was a splendid occasion held at the Spa Centre with over 100 members and guests present. Quite uniquely Ladies joined the Brethren for Lunch and Mrs June Beardmore accompanied Keith for the occasion. | |

| During his address to the meeting Rt W. Bro Robert Clancey GMRAC,Provincial Grand Master, announced that he would be retiring from office in March after eleven years in office. | |

| As a very popular leader his retirement announcement came as a complete surprise and a prolonged standing ovation followed the conclusion of his address. | |
| The venue is set on the cliffs at Scarborough with wonderful views overlooking the harbour and the North Sea. | |
